About the site www.iterating.com
There are more than 160,000 open source projects listed on sourceforge.net. There's a growing number of great hosted software solutions, like Gmail or basecamp. Traditional commercial software products also remain strong alternatives in many cases. How does one choose the right solution?
Until now, there had been no easy way to find and compare all these software solutions, and for users to dicuss their strengths and weaknesses. That's why we created ITerating.com, the first Wiki-Based Software Guide.

Nicolas Vandenberghe boasts a successful track record as an entrepreneur and leader in the high-technology industry.
Vandenberghe's 15-year software experience covers a broad range of technologies and markets, with a permanent focus on product and project management.
Most recently, he was co-founder and CEO of Delean Vision, a software company developer of a breakthrough biometric technology, acquired by publicly traded Identix (IDNX) in March 2004. The technology is now used to scan millions of US visa applications over the world and to help select the police force in Iraq.
Prior to Delean Vision, Vandenberghe was founder and CEO of RedCart Technologies, Inc., an Application Service Provider focused on tracking and aggregation services, also known as "universal shopping cart" services. RedCart's distributed, scalable platform leveraged the power of Linux and open source components. Its clients and partners included LookSmart, Compuserve, Barnes & Nobles and Amazon.
Another previous role included working with John Sculley, former Apple CEO, to start and develop the consumer business of Live Picture - a digital imaging software company - as an independent subsidiary. Vandenberghe partnered with Broderbund Software, one of the leading consumer software companies at the time, to create an award-winning product that delivered more than $6 million in revenues in its first year of shipment.
Vandenberghe's public speaking experience includes PC Expo, Comdex, the hi-tech symposium at Harvard Business School, the Biometric Consortium Conference, the LinuxTag conference in Berlin and the SDWest conference in Silicon Valley.
Vandenberghe began his career in product management at Procter & Gamble in Paris. He later worked for strategy consulting firm Corporate Value Associates, a spin-off of The Boston Consulting Group, in London. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, and an MBA from Stanford University.
