Winamp

Winamp 5.5 is no longer just a media player. Winamp is now a browser, a CD burner and a music library. It also supports mobile devices like iPods. The new standard skin is much more appealing (and it actually matches my Windows skin). The web browser is a little slow and because you can't close the play list while navigating there's little space for the actual page. The user interface was almost completely redone and I took me a while to get used to the horizontal layout. I kept trying to find a way to rearrange the boxes vertically and I after a while gave up but guess what, it finally grew on me :-)
Winamp is indeed a great player, I would recommend it to anyone without any second thoughts

One of the top music players, Winamp is the best way to chill, listen or party. It is the the most simple music player, with high functionality and low resources needed. 'It is very cool' said to me one friend, but 'has online videos buffering problems'. Hope Nullsoft team will fix this bug and many and many people will become part of Nullsoft community.

Great music player, common, simple and also complex, enjoyable.

Winamp is my all time favorite player because of its quality in sound. No other player that i downloaded - and i tell you i've downloaded many - matches the sound quality of winamp especially of the dsp plugins.
I thinkg that the Graphical Equalizer , called ‘preamp’, which can change the volume of individual frequencies of the track has a great quality being able to cope with a wide range of frequencies. There are already sets of pre programmed equalizer settings from punk to classical to reggae so if you cannot get the right sound the computer can do it for you.

I've been using Winamp since I can remember and it's never let me down so far. The only thing i can't understand about it is the video files support. I mean, after all, it's an audio player. Overall I'm very satisfied with it. It uses minimal computer resources.
