Email, e-mail, mail or electronic mail they all represent the same thing : sending, reading, storing messages over an electronic communication system (phone, computer, PDA).It's the most popular means of communication nowadays and it helps us contact any person in a couple of seconds no matter where they are

Webmails are applications that provide a web based interface for users to check and read their emails. In this field there are two main competitors, both free:

  • Yahoo Mail- Largest email provider with millions of users

Email Clients

Email clients are software applications that you use to read and send email from your computer.The market is pretty much dominated by Outlook but there are some important competitors as well. Here's a list with the most popular email clients that you can use

  • Outlook -Popular Microsoft Email Client, sometimes a little bit buggy when it comes to huge email traffic
  • Thunderbird- Free alternative to Outlook from the Popular Mozilla. Working great, very difficult to export from
  • Pegasus Mail- Powerful spam filter, not so friendly user interface
  • Eudora-Powerful email client, no email file corruption issues
