If your DHCP client doesn't start, you don't have to modify registries, or install software or through your computer off the window. There's a simple solution. You go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and enable the DHCP client

Finally, you can download Vista upgrades
Microsoft released a package of updates and security fixes for Windows Vista. The newest users of Vista can now update it by downloading SP1 (Service pack 1). Although these upgrades were made they say some programs won’t run on SP1 such as such as Web application design program Iron Speed Designer, while others will stop working well, like The New York Times Reader application.

Getting rid of Vista
The process is really simple. First of all you need to create a backup of your system. Then find all your CDs with drivers, your Windows XP copy and your activation key.
Decide if you need a downgrade or a sidegrade. Create a new partition if you settle for sidegrading and restart your PC. The self explanatory Windows XP install wizard will start right away

How vulnerable is Vista?
Seems that Microsoft Vista is even more vulnerable than we thought. Recently, The Register announced that a bunch of laptops pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium were found to have been infected with Stoned.Angelina a 13-year-old boot sector virus.
And since the threat was so old, Bullguard, the antivirus running on those laptops, couldn't even remove it as the signature files were no longer present...

Vista makes everyone wish XP back
No wonder everyone hates Vista! It barely supports the tools a developer needs and it eats all the memory a computer can have. InfoWorld just gather 30 000 signatures from people that don't want XP to be discontinued in June as Microsoft plans. The petition will be sent to Microsoft and luckily we'll always have XP as an option
