The good news is that AWStats is a good alternative to Google Analytics. It provides comprehensive and detailed statistics and accurate data. Refreshing the stats is easy and you can do it whenever you like so no more waiting forever for that damn update. Another useful feature is the ability to monitor crawler traffic. The bad news is that AWStats includes the bounce visits in the average time on site algorithm. Also, you can't define a custom data range so you'll have to settle with the monthly or yearly view .
