I was so happy to stop receiving e-mail notifications for spam comments on my blog! Statistics show that 92% of all comments are spam, so this tool comes in very handy. Since I installed it, Akismet caught about 180 spam comments. Actually, because I use Wordpress, installation meant nothing more but a simple registration :-) Also, it was really easy to permanently remove the quarantined spam messages. No need to mark comments as "Not Spam" since Akismet didn't make any mistakes when labeling those on my page.
