Finding the perfect VPN tool was hard, meaning that I had to search quite a long time to find something that fit my needs. I discovered Amrita VPN, that I was able to install on my Linux machine, and configure it quite easily. The system is quite old, from 2003, but I was able to look around the code and try to improve it – by the way, it’s open source. The fact that attracted me to use it, was that I would be able to forward internet connection from the host computer to the client ones, and to allow all the connected clients to see each other, just as if they were in a LAN, also providing them access to file sharing.
