I've been working on and off with Aptana for about a year and a half and I've noticed definite improvements in this IDE. Sometimes Aptana has bugginess issues but these issues have become almost nonexistant in recent builds. Its stability has improved and conversely so its performance. Aptana is a coders dream if you work a lot with or are a big fan of javascript. Full integration of the most popular javascript libraries is included in this IDE and the site itself has instructions on how to add other javascript libraries. Being an eclipse based IDE, Aptana is also able to utilize many eclipse plugins as well as third party plugins. This has lead to early support for the iPhone and Adobe Apollo. The documentation for plugins however, is not exceptionally presented. Yes, there are instructions for adding plugins but good luck finding all of them. In short, Aptana is a very good IDE for all levels of developer and still improving. It could use much stronger documentation to push it even further.
