Kind of expensive
Even though SolidWorks is less expensive and easier to use, the advanced engineering software integrated with CATIA provides the tools for designing more complex products. What truly sets CATIA apart from any competition its the advance capabilities of creating surfaces. Overall it's a sophisticated program does well with complex mechanical design but suffers from a steep learning curve
