Although in the commercials for the Mac, the Mac dude tells us that there are no viruses for the Mac, ClamXav provides a free virus checker. The ClamAV open source antivirus engine is behind it, and at this point there are no reported conflicts between it and other different scanners. However, it is a known fact that having two different scanners working at the same time on your computer will hinder your system, so this is not recommended. So, if you’re worried about viruses on your system, give ClamXav a try.
