I have used Clamav out of the need to have a monitoring antivirus daemon under UNIX. The antivirus engine is not so easy to get up and running as soon as installed, so I had to work my way through settings, and to understand the engine’s shared library. Once I managed to get it up and running, I had once again to understand all the support it provided, and all the features. All in all, Clam Anti-Virus proved efficient, but the workload needed to work with it made me uncertain if it was worth it.
