From 1994 (if I’m not wrong) is still reaching a leadership position in the market. A very mature data mining workbench, it’s built specially for researchers and business analysts so you don’t have to be a technical specialist to get along with Clementine. In fact, I consider this focus on ease of use to be the best feature of Clementine. You can use descriptive icons to create a data flow description of the function to be performed. Each of these icons represents a step in the Knowledge Discovery process. All you have to do is drag and drop the icons onto the Clementine desktop and a stream of function is created. I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about its price tag. Sure, there are more complex and free tools like Weka or RapidMiner that offers many more algorithms, but I think that with Clementine you have better interfaces, reliability and ease of use than with any other data mining tool.
