application for looking at CVS repositories
CVS Monitor is a CGI application for looking at CVS repositories in a much more useful and productive way. Is has an aggressive caching, mostly because of the overhead of pulling information through the CVS client is often quite high, and some of the data processing quite intensive, CVS Monitor caches heavily. All statistics, and most pages, are generated purely from the cached information. CVS Monitor will only contact the CVS server to pull specific diffs or annotations, which it will also cache. This helps keeps the load down on the CVS server, as people can keep an eye on the CVS repository without updating their own CVS checkout constantly. I found it to be quite user friendly, and one of the most amazing features was the RSS feed that could send you information every time something has been changed, directly to you news reader.
