Being a security freak, I have to say that at some points I was wondering what would happen if all the data on a computer should be wiped off without leaving a trace? I could find different tools, that would have to be ran under various operating systems, and which would slow down the process. And after a while of research, I found Darik’s Boot And Nuke tool, which is a boot disk, that will automatically wipe out all the information from your hard drive. Now, if you have compromising information on your computer, and you need it whipped out at boot, I definitely recommend using DBAN.

Unlike zuzu, I wouldn't recommend this application to anyone. Darik’s Boot and Nuke is not secure, nor efficient. When I tried to use it with my laptop, it broke everything. I was unable to start Windows or even format my hard drive. I tried to find a solution to my problem on different support forums but nobody was able to help me.
