Simply powerfull
It can handle java out of the box but it has extensions for a large array of other programming languages (from C/C++ to PHP). It may be a bit hard to use at the beginning, but once you get used to it becomes very productive. Since it was developed for java it can run on any platform.

I love it

Eclipse it's the best IDE. It is complex but very easy to learn, great design, good documentation.And it's biggest plus is that not only it cand hadle java, but other programming languages.
