Exim

[edit] Brief Description

Exim stands for EXperimental Internet Mailer . It's a free software based on Smail-3 specially designed for Unix-systems like, but can also be ported on Microsoft Windows using the Cygwin emulation layer. It's highly configurable and has many features unlike other mail transfer agents. With Exim, in general, emails can be sent immediately since it doesn't have a central queue manager.
