Fortune3 E-Commerce Shopping Cart was designed to create both retail (business to consumer) and wholesale (business to business) shopping carts. Compared with other shopping carts Fortune3 uses a Windows program to manage it, as opposed to most of the other carts that use a web interface.

The set-up doesn't needs HTML or SQL coding knowledges, as the software has a built-in HTML editor and FTP client, but the biggest advantage of this application is its focus on optimizing the pages for search engines.

Fortune3 it's a highly appreciated solution for ecommerce websites, especially because of the ease-of use-and the out-of-the-box solutions the vendor came up with. Comparing its price with the price for other applications out there we can conclude that Fortune is not a cheap solution, being available for $489.

Good alternatives in the same price range are ATG Commerce and AspDotNetStorefront (available in different packages).

System requirements

Fortune3 E-Commerce Shopping Cart uses a custom programming language and a MySQL database and it can run on Windows, Linux and UNIX system servers. Also, it needs an PC for the manager program with a Windows operating system (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server or Windows Vista).
