The Generic Eclipse Modeling System is an useful tool but I encountered some problems when trying to run examples. Seems there are some compatibility problems between GEMS and SWI Prolog. To make it work I had to disable the Prolog part of GEMS. The documentation (available since the 2.0.4. release) didn't help me solve those problems but Jules White (the project manager) seems to be very active on the support forums and I found my answers there. Overall this is a good tool and my guess is that it will be more powerful once they decide to switch it to the GMF-based implementation.
