Magic painting
I can say this is the minimal choice when it comes to drawing. With a set of elementary tools for creating and editing images, KolourPaint is simple and easy to use. I found in it features like zoom in/out (up to 600%), brushes, zone selectors (all kind of shapes), image handling tools (color balancing, transparency, red eye reduction) and it supports single key shortcuts. Hope to see more development on this package because it could easily get more popularity.
