A nice OS to live in
I've been a macuser for a while now, but I've also used Windows a lot, and I administer some Linux servers, so the decision to use a Mac is an informed one :) It's simply a great place to live in. All my computing stuff is tied to my mac laptop, this is where i keep my music, my work, the odd school project and whatnot. And it makes life easier than either Windows or Linux - it has a great, out-of-the-way interface that also happens to be eye-pleasing; it's packed with all the features you'd expect from a modern OS, from great apps, a nice browser, good hardware integration (sleep, external displays, power management, peripherals), down to a solid Unix core that feels like a modern Linux distro. In case there's something I need from Windows or Linux, I can fire up a virtual machine (VMware) and I have them at my fingertips. But that's rarely necessary, because there are plenty of good apps available for the mac. On the security side, the architectural decisions that went into the OS have clearly made it a secure platform, comparable to the Linux distros, so I don't need to constantly watch my back, as I used to do on Windows.
