SES - a secure solution
Oracle has been for the past 15 years a powerful competitor on the enterprise search market with top-rated products like Oracle Ultra Search or Oracle Text. So I guess now it is Oracle Secure Enterprise Search’s time to prove itself. I think SES is truly an impressive standalone search engine that will give its users rapid access to the desired information while enforcing security policies. I like the fact that it has fast response time and that I can retrieve information located on websites, databases, file servers, document repositories, portals and so one. Once I properly set up, SES, I could ensure that only authorized users have access to search results. Unlike many other search engines SES can explore more than one repository at a time which can bring better speed and more complete results. There are a few downsides to Secure Enterprise Search and the major one is the cost, it’s a more expensive solution than previous Oracle search products.
