Pentaho Open BI Suite 1.6 platform provides users with a web-based interface that allows them to create ad-hoc queries and reports. With its OLAP analysis and data mining capabilities Pentaho captivated my attention. It has a strong competitor in JasperSoft, another open-source business intelligent suite, but Pentaho position among the real enterprise tools is secured.
