Easy setup
I can say that Pure FTP is recommended for beginners, because it has a very simple install process and the configuration is already done. Is compatible with all known protocols and you can set up bandwidth limits per user, limit the number of users that could connect simultaneous and even see in real time the active processes. As a normal ftp server you can set up a quota limit for every user registered on your server, and of course restrict access to specific directories or simple files and limit the maximum connections per ip. I am going to use it for a while to see how is the security on my server, but I think I am going to be satisfied.
