While wanting to use Apple Airport Express (AEX) I found this interesting, but seemingly not finished, tool, called Raop_Play. Really hard to use and understand for the novice, and unfortunately still with dozens of issues, Raop_Play could have the potential. It supports iPod music, local music, or streamed http music. It’s not a bad idea, but the way you have to write console commands in order to work will get you disappointed. I’ll keep an eye out on this project, but I won’t use it again until they fix, or create for that matter, the fact that you cannot start playing the music where you left it when you hit “pause”. It will start over again…
