I was really happy at one point when using Windows XP to add music to my iPod shuffle because I could get away from the iTunes tirany. That was unfortunately a short-lived period, since I didn’t understand the full potential of the provided tools. I was young and bold, and wanted to do everything for my own. That’s why Shuffle-DB was the chosen tool to add music to my iPod. Neat features, like arranging my own folders on the iPod, file structure and everything, and in the end just running a really small app that made it possible for the music to be played, just like any other portable mp3 player. But time passed, the project was rather abandoned, and now in order to work under Windows XP you need to have Python installed, since it is now more or less just a script, with limited functionality. Not my option anymore.
