If all you need is to copy file to/from a FTP server SmartFtp will do the job just fine. It has a clean user interface and it is easy to use, although it's annoying that it reminds you that it is not free for commercial use. Some features: Favorites list; the ability to resume broken downloads; a global history; background transfers; proxy support; a passive transfer mode; and the ability to perform recursive downloads, uploads, and deletes.
