I had been using MS outlook for years, until MS tried to get me to pay for a patch that fixed one of their bugs. Installing Thunderbird was a breeze. It picked up all my account settings, contacts, folders and old emails flawlessly. It was then very intuitive and easy to use, so I was up and running in no time. Thunderbird offers all the features of outlook, and is actually better at dealing with HTML. I liked the way attached photos are directly shown at the bottom of an email, instead of having to open an image viewer. The only small drawback was that I had to download and install a separate extension, called Lighnting, for the calendar features. Altogether, a great product - and you can't beat the price!
