It's become all things to all people, and it does nearly everything very well. I've been using and designing web sites with WP since the spring of 2004. I've seen it grow by leaps and bounds. Each new release has more and better. The plugin community actively develops all kinds of new plugins that add functionality, features and fun to WP. As long as they remain active, WP will thrive. The only thing that keeps me from recommending it to ALL my clients is the fact that there's no decent plugin that allows Member Only content. So when I need that, I use CMS Made Simple. (Sorry, WordPress!)
