About a year ago I wanted to start a blog, and I chose Wordpress as my platform. I was surprised with the 1-step instalation process. However, after the instalation I was pretty disappointed with this platform. I had a photo-blog, and it was very difficult for me to add pictures into my content. I also didn't like the fixed width. I guess this is what happens when you want to have a highly customizable platform that everyone likes: you end up with a product in witch the end user has to invest time to be able to use it. I finally built my own blog/gallery (php/sql) platform.
