Two steps ahead
I was previously using MYOB which to be honest, I did not think I had any problems with. I heard about Xero from a friend and signed up to trial it with a demo company. I was immediately hooked, everything was intuitive and the bank feeds alone was immediately going to save me a several hours a week. There are still some functions that I would like to see implemented like stock control(but added functions will come over time). I have now been a customer for 6 months & I could not be happier with my experience, looking back at MYOB I do not know how I managed the accounting AND my business.

When our customers need something more complex than Less Accounting we refer them to Xero. They do an excellent job for advanced accounting small businesses and mid-scale businesses that need features like double-entry ledgers and audit reports.

Xero for SME's
Fantastic tool - we can be many people in many places and have a real-time view of our business. Accounting has never been easier or more accessible. Support is great as well. As with all web 2.0 applications extracting/importing data for integration with other systems could be a challenge but this shouldn't be a problem for most.

Xero makes basic accounting so much faster and easy to use
With Xero I can get a summary of all my bank accounts details and balances; it shows me easy to understand charts of how much money are coming in or going out and the thing I like the most is the watch list of my favorite accounts on the monitor. Before trying Xero I didn’t felt in control of my business; I was replicating spreadsheets, and handing them over, uploading manual bookings and using Excel, I had no idea of what was coming in and what was going out. Now everything is so easy and obvious and it saves my lot of time and money. I don’t have to hire a bookkeeping, I can do it myself and I can access it from anywhere because is online. Auto-matching bank transactions means reconciling bank statements takes minutes and it used to take hours. Also, expense claims are simple to enter – it takes half of minute to enter one.
