ADNS is another library for C and C++ with a collection of DNS utilities. The library is reasonably easy to use for simple programs, that only want to translate names to addresses, for example. Also, used in an asynchronous, non blocking manner, the queries will be handled simultaneously. The DNS utility can be used very easy from the command line. A helpful tool.
