Youdo not need to know the old password to set a newone. It works offline (i.e., you have to shutdownyour computer and boot off a linux floppy disk). The bootdisk includes stuff to access NTFSpartitions and scripts to glue the whole thingtogether. This utility works with SYSKEY andincludes the option to turn it off. A bootdiskimage is provided." (Description on Freshmeat)
