OPeNDAP
I don’t want to make a fancy commercial description about OPeNDAP, but I will just use the facts. Some time ago the company I work for had to create a data network, that would allow simple access to all the remote data. That’s when we turned to OPeNDAP. I can say about that it simplified all aspects of scientific data networking Local data can be made accessible to remote locations regardless of local storage format by using OPeNDAP servers. Existing, familiar data analysis and visualization applications can be transformed into OPeNDAP clients. OPeNDAP also allows you to access remote data over the internet. Great software that has helped our projects evolve.
