iTerm is my terminal emulator of choice. It's much better than the Terminal app that comes with MacOS: it has many more configuration options, supports opening consoles in tabs, and allows all common keystrokes that you would expect from a Unix terminal. The current version is considered "beta", and in the past it had serious stability issues, but they have been ironed out, and it's now a powerful, dependable terminal emulator.
