Manipulating ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags
What can I say about id3lib? Well, in my opinion many other digital audio libraries and applications provide minimal support for basic ID3v1 tagging, few have the same level of support for the up-and-coming ID3v2 standard. id3lib is developed with close regard to the ID3v2 specification and they try to ensure the library correctly handles all its nuances. While using id3lib for both my ID3v1 and ID3v2 tagging needs, I felt confident that the application produced tags that comply with the standard.
