phpMyVisits is not so popular yet, but I find it very promising. The user interface is friendly, there are plenty reports to choose from and it's very easy to create a personalized pdf report. One of the new features included on the latest version is the Clicks Heatmap. This tool allows you to spot the cold and hot zones of your page and it's very useful when optimizing the placement of ads on your website.
