The TCP Flow recorder program will capture the data transmitted as part of TCP connections, also known as flows, and store all the data in a convenient way for protocol analysis. Also, the stored data can be debugged easily. In contrast to other more primitive tools, like tcpdump, TCP Flow will reconstruct the actual data streams, and will have a storage, where each flow is kept in a separate file for analysis. I was amazed to discover that it could also check what cookies were being sent by my browser to various sites, and also looking into connections that were supposed to be encrypted, but they actually weren’t.
