xzgv is a picture viewer for X, with a thumbnail-based file selector. It uses GTK+ and Imlib 1.x. Most file formats are supported, and the thumbnails used are compatible with xv, zgv, and the Gimp. Unfortunately, as you will find written in may places, xzgv has rather nasty vulnerability, meaning that if the images can be made to run arbitrary commands, for the user, it may seriously infect your computer. However, a patch is released aht can be added before compiling. In my opinion, it isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a try.
